| The castle Hvedholm has belonged to the same family from the time when Funen was an independent kingdom and up to our century. The building dates back to 1570, but was rebuilt in its present majestic style around 1880 by count Bille Brahe Selby. With 5,000 m2 the castle is one of Denmark’s largest. The 10 ha park has a few old plane trees mentioned in some of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales. There is a magnificent view to the Funen Archipelago. The castle islocated five kilometers outside the small city Faaborg. | ![]() |
Shuttle service will be provided from Faaborg Station and Odense Station to Hvedholm Castle on Sunday, July 16, and for the return trips on Friday, July 21. We need people to inform the TRICAP conference secretariat of their arrival at any of the two pick-up points. Make sure to get a confirmation.
